Merchant of Record partnership questions, answered.

Direct answers on how LootRate works with MoRs and game-commerce partners, protects client ownership, and scopes deeper studio work.

Who can bring LootRate into a client meeting?

Only representatives designated during LootRate partner onboarding can bring us into a client meeting. We agree availability, confidentiality, and commercial terms with each partner; those representatives provide context, schedule the meeting, and lead it.

Does the studio get direct access to LootRate?

LootRate access remains partner-led. If the studio needs a direct relationship or ongoing support, we discuss it with everyone involved and agree it separately.

Will LootRate pitch our client during the call?

No. LootRate joins the call to provide useful monetization judgment, not to turn every conversation into a sales pitch. If the studio needs more than live advice, we say so openly to everyone in the room.

What is included in a partner-led conversation?

A LootRate partner-led conversation includes live, situation-specific advice, brief context review beforehand, and a verbal debrief with your point-person. Analysis, deliverables, implementation, and ongoing access require a separate scope.

When does a separate studio engagement begin?

A separate studio engagement begins when the studio needs work beyond the conversation: analysis, research, a redesign, written recommendations, implementation support, or ongoing monetization ownership.

Who contracts for the studio engagement?

The studio usually contracts directly with LootRate. Sponsored, subcontracted, and joint-delivery arrangements are also possible when they better fit the partner relationship and the work.

Does LootRate compete with our service?

No. LootRate handles monetization ownership, prioritization, and execution. The partner keeps its platform, account, implementation, and existing client relationship.

Does every client conversation lead to paid work?

No. A partner-led conversation can end with the meeting. A paid engagement only follows when the studio needs and asks for work beyond the live advice.

Can LootRate work internally with our team?

Yes. LootRate can separately scope internal strategy, product work, training, playbooks, workshops, or research with a partner team. Client-facing advisory access does not automatically include that work.

What studios are the best fit for deeper work?

The best fit is a live mobile game with meaningful IAP revenue, usable player and payer data, a team capable of shipping changes, and no senior owner coordinating the complete revenue system.
